“Your website has been completely hacked!” the operator told me. My heart sank as I tried to comprehend what this meant. She said that a hacker had gone into my website and embedded his own code in order to “redirect” some of my links. When I went to my website and clicked on my links it redirected me and took me to other websites that were not mine! I asked the operator why a hacker would do this and her answer was…“simply because he can.” When we researched it further, we discovered that my user name and password were extremely easy codes. She said the hacker had easy access into my website. She walked me through updating my plug–ins. Then we changed all of my passwords to make them stronger so that no one could hack my website again.
The enemy is like a hacker. His desire is to put false code in us to redirect us from the purposes of God. He is subtle as times, but the damage is just as malicious and devastating. He can do this by whispering to us a lie that we end up believing. It then becomes part of our embedded code. This lie has a foothold and it is redirecting us from the destiny that God wants for us. He is the king of liars.
Why does the enemy do this? Simply because he can!
God wants us to update our “plug-ins”. What are we plugging into? If it is God’s truth, then that is what will be embedded in us. As we read His Word, we are directed in the plans and purposes He has for us. His embedded truth will always direct us in the way we should go.
Ask God today if there is any lie that you believe that is redirecting you from the plans He has for you. Then ask Him for His embedded truth to counter the lie.

One fateful decision landed me smack in the middle of my own Wilderness…
Though I was obeying God’s voice, I spent the next several years “walking on water,” even though it felt more like I was treading water. A Journey Out of the Wilderness is for people going through a rough time—a Wilderness experience—where you feel as though you are “down for the count” and ready to give up. Wilderness Wanderers feel as though they are doing laps around the mountain, passing the same tree over and over again wondering, “Will this never end?” However, being in the Wilderness will be one of the most transformational times of your life.
