“I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life.”

Moses

Swat! With a quick swift motion the towel came down again on a fly in my house. This time though it only took me three SECONDS and it was dead!

(read my blog “I Killed a Fly in 3 Days”)

I surprised even myself that it happened so quickly after it took an entire three days to kill the last one.

What was the difference?

I cursed that pesky thing the minute I saw it instead of chasing it around the house for days. I had learned through the last season of spiritual warfare to curse the fly FIRST instead of running around the house chasing it like a dog chasing its tail.

How many times in our lives have we run around in the power of our own strength to fight the enemy and were completely worn out in the battle. “Battle weary” believers are everywhere.

But what if there is a new way to do battle? One that involves REST.

It is knowing our authority in Christ and simply speaking out His Word over the situation.

I believe we are coming into this new season out of the Wilderness where we have learned in greater measure the authority Christ has given us.

In this new season, what would have taken us days will now take seconds.

What would have taken us years will now take days.

And what would have taken us decades will be but a single year.

Rest today in knowing who you are in Christ and the authority you truly have over your circumstances and ask God for a greater revelation of the power you carry as a believer.

Bind – Loose.

Curse – Bless.

For in the power of your tongue you line up with what God is doing on the earth right now!

What is the “fly” that you need to curse this week?

“Life and death are in the power of the tongue” (HCSB)

Proverbs 18:21a

One fateful decision landed me smack in the middle of my own Wilderness…

Though I was obeying God’s voice, I spent the next several years “walking on water,” even though it felt more like I was treading water. A Journey Out of the Wilderness is for people going through a rough time—a Wilderness experience—where you feel as though you are “down for the count” and ready to give up. Wilderness Wanderers feel as though they are doing laps around the mountain, passing the same tree over and over again wondering, “Will this never end?” However, being in the Wilderness will be one of the most transformational times of your life.
